Red Storm teams play in the DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League (DYTBL), where players face off against other local programs in a supportive, skill-matched environment. With multiple divisions for different experience levels, every child gets the chance to improve, build confidence, and experience the joy of team basketball.

We believe every young athlete should have access to high‑quality coaching and competitive basketball. That’s why Red Storm is run by volunteers, supported by local sponsors, and built on a lean operating budget. Our goal is to keep costs low without compromising on experience, so that families of all backgrounds can participate.

How It Works

Evaluations & Team Placements
(August 23 & 28)

Every player begins their Red Storm journey with an evaluation session—an opportunity to meet the coaches, run through skill-building drills, and get a feel for the program. These sessions help us place each athlete on the right team for their age and ability. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a place to grow, play, and thrive.

Season
(November–Early March)

The Red Storm season runs from November through early March, with teams practicing 1–2 times per week and playing 20–25 games across league play and weekend tournaments. Practices focus on developing individual skills, teamwork, and game strategy, while games provide a fun, structured environment to put those lessons into action.
